A Bed & Breakfast route through Andalusia with just that extra bit more!
Together with some colleagues we have put together an exciting tour of Andalusia. You will stay at hand-picked B&B’s where comfort, service and delicious food are of paramount importance. At each of the selected B&B’s you will experience the owners’ personal touch and all our B&B’s have something special to offer which you willnot find in any travel guide.
How would you like the following? A bicycle tour through Malaga, a horse ride- or donkey ride through the unspoilt nature of the Axarquía, a visit to a fino-bodega in Montilla or a tapastour in Granada. And what about flamenco lessons in Archidona or a flamenco night in Seville´s most famous tablado?
Our B&B´s can arrange these trips and many more. And after these excursions there is no need to search endlessly for the coziest guesthouse nearby. We already sorted it out!
Below you’ll find an example of how your tour could look like. Depending on where you land (generally Seville or Malaga) this tour can be arranged according to your own wishes and budget. You can decide in which order you want to visit each B&B, provided you book at least two nights at each. You are not obliged to stay at all six B&B’s.
By the way, did you know that it is perfectly possible to switch between the airports of Seville and Malaga for your arrival and departure? Also, there are cheap car rental companies that permit to pick up a vehicle in one place and to drop it off in another. (www.hispacar.com ; www.aurigacrown.com ; http://www.goldcar.es/ ; http://www.booking-centre-online.com/alquiler-coches/).
Your stay is to be paid for in each individual B&B. For room rates and further information on the recommended B&B ‘s, please consult their respective websites or contact us.
This is how your tour could look like
Our own B&B Finca La Luz in Carmona is very conveniently located for those who would like to visit Seville and Córdoba (at about 110 km) or would start or end the tour at Seville’s International Airport San Pablo where many low cost airlines are available (for a complete list of cheap flights please see chapter “practical”). The region boasts a beautiful network of roads and motorways which makes for quick and comfortable transport. Seville can be visited by public transportation, by car or by bike. Those who prefer two-wheelers can safely reach the city starting from the B&B with their own bike and using dozens of kilometers of bicycle paths. There are also lots of companies in Seville that rent bikes. We can organize mountainbike renting. Seville is – among others – the place to be for joining a good flamenco show. Carmona offers possibilities to visit an olive oil factory.
From Carmona you drive to Chiclana de la Frontera on the Costa de la Luz via Jerez de la Frontera, the city of sherry and horse dressage. Here is located the Bed & Breakfast Casa La Felicidad. You’re staying in a quiet green residential area at a 10 minutes´ drive from pearly white beaches with shops, bars and restaurants. There are countless culinary and cultural possibilities in the Moorish white villages. Nearby is the city of Cádiz, the second oldest city in Europe. The hostess massages, the host cooks and both of them are avid flamenco lovers.
In the southern part of the province of Córdoba, in Iznajar, lies the Cortijo La Haza. Iznajar is a very picturesque and authentic white village. The cortijo (farmhouse) is about 10 km from the village and is surrounded by olive groves as far as the eye can see. La Haza is ideally located for excursions to Priego de Córdoba and Antequera with the Torcal National Park, while Córdoba is situated within a range of some 100 km. Granada with the world famous Alhambra is also within easy reach (92 km).
The next stop is Alcaucín situated in the Axarquía next to the natural parc Sierra de Tejeda. The Axarquía enjoys a micro climat and promises you wonderful countryside and charming villages. That is why it is an excellent place for biking and strolling. The mediterranean sea with nice towns such as Nerja and Salobreña is not that far away. The nearest beach is in Torre del Mar (25 km). To Malaga airport is an hour drive (68 km). Places to stay here are Casa Rural El Refugio en B&B El Níspero Dulce.
The final stop on our B&B tour is B&B Casa Don Carlos just outside the village of Alhaurin El Grande. This village is situated at 30 km from Malaga with its bustling port. From Casa Don Carlos you can visit Málaga, Benalmádena and Mijas and soak up the luxurious atmosphere of the Costa del Sol. Thanks to its proximity to Málaga airport Casa Don Carlos is the ideal place to relax after the many impressions on tour, unless you fly back from Seville and end up for one or more nights at Finca La Luz.
