For several years now Seville is a very bicycle-friendly city. From the B&B you can safely drive to the city along quiet roads. The historical (country) road between Seville and Carmona, the so-called Cañada Real, takes you right through the fields and runs along Torrepalma. Once in urbanized area of the Seville Torreblanca de los Caños, you can access a network of dozens of miles of beautiful bike paths that often are separated from other traffic and which cover the entire city. Various companies offer rental bicycles. You may also use an official city bike which you pick up and leave behind whereever it fits you best (more info in the section “useful links”).
You may take your bike directly from the guesthouse to Carmona. The road takes you along well-maintained roads and along various haciendas, situated in the rolling countryside of the Alcores. Some tourist cycling routes run across the city and the surrounding area. Under the guidance of a bilingual guide (Spanish – English) you learn to know the region best.
Taking a short car ride you may also cycle along various “Vías verdes“. These are old railway beddings that were converted into cycling and hiking paths, in cooperation with the Spanish railway company. One of these pathways in our neighborhood is called the “Vía verde de los Alcores” and runs from Alcala de Guadaira to Carmona. There are many other such paths in Andalusia (see “useful links”).
We can organize the transport of your own bicycles from and to the Seville airport San Pablo. Furthermore, we work together with a company through which nice mountain bikes can be rented. It is our concern to ensure that your bikes remain ready in Carmona or in the B&B at your arrival.
